There I was, passing the all too familar rows of merchandise; when something should catch my eye. Trust me, I probably would have passed it without a second glance if it were anything else (or if it hadn't been for this recent fever going around).

So, I decided to take the little fella to work with me. They (the gift store people) don't seem to mind. At least I don't think they do. Muffin has been sitting on top of our radio for months.
Yes, its name is Muffin. No, we didn't name him. That *is* its name. And we all thought Mailbox was a strange name for a penguin. Not as strange as a dog named after a food item, I think.

Anyway, back to the penguin of the story. Well, this little guy, Penkie by name (Also a factory name. That's definitely not what I would have dubbed him.) bears some resemblance to his eastern cousin, Pengie (both in features and in name, it seems). However, Pengie seems to have aquired more of the 'cute' genes than Penkie did.
This little guys also has the 'flare for style' like his western cousin Mailbox. Thought I'd be the first to admit, Mailbox has a better taste in fashion.
But alas, Penkie is out of my range as far as student budgets go.
And besides, he wasn't that cute anyways.
