Ardant's busy with midterms so I decided to help him out, somewhat. I didn't have quite enough energy to follow him to school for two days in a row -- it's the waking up at 8:30 in the morning that really hurts.
So I went up to Ardant in an inquisitive mood, wondering what I could do to help his cause. And the reponse I got was, well, quite indicative of Ardant.
Ardant: Hey Pengie, you can do my calculus homework for me...
Me: Cal-cu-lus?
Ardant: Yeah, you know, Ordinary Differential Equations...
Me: But, I don't know Calculus!
Ardant: But, everyone else's stuffed penguins are doing their Calculus homework.
First the speedwiring, and now the Calculus homework? What does he think I am, his slave? Regardless, while he was doing his ECE 209 studying I decided to try and help him out by doing a little Calculus. I thought: hey, I've been to one lecture, I can probably do this stuff. I'm a smart penguin, I can figure it out?
Easier said than done.
It took me thirty minutes to drag the book off the shelf. Quite a mean task when it's about three hundred times your weight and about ten times as big. So there I am, dragging this book with my feet and flapping my wings and getting nowhere. I finally got it on the kitchen table after about 2 hours of labour. Opened up, and started reading some Calculus. Got out Ardant's notes, layed them on the table. Go bored and played with a little engineering crest thingy.
And then I tried to do some Calculus questions. But I couldn't. I guess this means I'll have to go to lecture again some time soon...
